The work consists of furnishing all materials , equipment , tools , labor , and incidentals required to complete the improvements shown on the Specifications and Contract Documents . The work performed under this contract is summarized in the Notice Inviting Sealed Bids and includes , but is not limited to each bid item listed in the Contractor ’ s Bid Proposal , as covered in the Standard Specifications , and as described in the corresponding items on the following pages . The work in general , to be performed pursuant to these specifications , consists of : Removal of existing non complaint ramp handrails ; Removal of existing metal curb / barrier on northside of walkway and replacement with new guardrail to match existing guardrail ; Installation of new ADA compliant handrail along the entire guardrail with integrated low voltage LED lighting pucks to illuminate surface of accessible route ( PRODUCT or approved equal ); Furnishing and installation of all electrical conduit , conductor , connections , drivers ; furnishing of 20 duplicate LED fixtures and installation tools as attic stock for maintenance needs ; Installation of two lighting bollards adjacent to at grade pathway ( PRODUCT or approved equal ); Removal of door closer at Library existing balcony , replace with spring hinges in lieu of door closer ; Excavate along the north library wall a minimum of 3 feet below grade and install waterproofing barrier on building exterior wall ( PRODUCT or approved equal ); Backfill and compact excavated soil and construct new concrete drainage swale and subterranean drain pipe connecting to drainage near library loading dock ; Install new flexible joint between new concrete swale and building wall ( PRODUCT or approved equal ).
