Description | The City of Marion is seeking statements of qualifications to provide engineering services for there placement of its access bridge at the City ’ s Clinchfield Sewer Lift Station . The existing bridge is concrete , approximately 20 feet across , and crosses a creek roughly 6 feet above the stream floor . Appendix A shows pictures of the existing bridge ( in order to indicate the scale of this project ). Although some project details may vary in the design process , the City intends toelevateandreplacethebridgewithaprecastcoredslabstructure . It ’ stheCity ’ saimtoelevatethe bridge height by at least one foot in order to avoid flooding . The bridge will also need to support approximately 75 , 000 - 85 , 000 pounds for large vehicle and equipment usage . The project will require work related to the access roads and grading as required by the new bridge . |
