PURPOSE AND BACKGROUND Guilford County Schools ( GCS ) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide comprehensive , job embedded instructional coaching services that support the district ’ s implementation of High Quality Instructional Materials ( HQIM ) and strengthen classroom instruction across participating schools . Coaching services will focus on building educator capacity , improving instructional practice , and supporting consistent , high - quality implementation of the district ’ s adopted curriculum materials . GCS serves nearly 70 , 000 PK – 12 students across 121 schools and is committed to ensuring that every student has access to rigorous , standards aligned , and equitable instruction . To support this commitment , the district has adopted HQIM in literacy across elementary and secondary grades . The district ' s current HQIMs are : Elementary - UFLI , CKLA , Morpheme Magic , and Sound Wall Solutions Middle - EL Education and Morpheme Magic High - myPerspectives and Morpheme Magic Effective implementation of these materials requires sustained professional learning , ongoing coaching , and structured improvement cycles that help teachers and school leaders deepen their understanding of the curriculum , strengthen instructional decision making , and respond to student learning needs . The district seeks a coaching partner capable of delivering high quality , scalable , and context responsive services that include job embedded coaching , professional learning , and implementation support aligned to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study . Coaching should reinforce research - based instructional practices , promote equitable access to grade level content , and support teachers in meeting the needs of diverse learners , including multilingual learners , students with disabilities , and academically advanced students . GCS anticipates that the selected vendor will collaborate closely with district leadership , school administrators , and instructional support staff to ensure coherence across professional learning , coaching , and curriculum implementation . The coaching services procured through this RFP will play a critical role in supporting instructional improvement , strengthening the use of HQIM , and improving student outcomes across the district .
