Description | The scope of this project involves removing and replacing the siding and trim on the Lockport Warehouse ( STRIN 800085B ) at the New York State Canal Corporation Lockport Maintenance Section with new factory primed cedar novelty siding , including infill panels , adding a ¼ ” sheathing with # 15 felt as an air - weather barrier , and 1 / 8 ” x2 ” battens to create an airspace behind the siding . The rafter tails that are broken or warped will be repaired by encasing the rafter tails in ¼ ” plywood , primed and painted to match the aesthetics of the original design of the Warehouse . The project also includes upgrading the existing windows and replacing them with double hung windows like the original design of the building . This approach also proposes to strip and refinish original garage doors and provide for a new insulated skirting at the crawlspace . Disposal of all material will be the responsibility of the contractor . New York State Canal Corporation Lockport Warehouse is located at 2 Mill Street Lockport , NY 14094 . |
