Description | WORK COVERED BY CONTRACT DOCUMENTS 1 . The Work of this Contract comprises the removal of designated existing site lighting infrastructure and the installation of new lighting improvements at Mercer County Community College ( MCCC ), including all related site electrical work . 2 . The Work includes , but is not limited to : a . Removal and disposal of selected existing light fixtures , poles , and footings . b . Installation of new Owner - furnished light poles and light fixtures as shown on the Contract Drawings . c . Installation of underground electrical wiring . d . Installation of new light pole footings . 3 . The project is divided into two phases corresponding to separate power distribution centers : a . Base Bid : Work fed from the Western Power Distribution Center . b . Alternate Bid : Work fed from the Eastern Power Distribution Center . 4 . The Owner will furnish all light poles and light fixtures . The Contractor shall provide all labor , materials , equipment , and incidentals necessary for complete and operational installation as shown and specified . The Owner will furnish the following items for installation by the Contractor : a . Light Poles b . Light Fixtures : B . Owner ’ s Responsibilities : a . The light poles and light fixtures are owned by the owner and stored on campus at MCCC West Windsor . C . Contractor ' s Responsibilities : The Work includes the following , as applicable : 1 . Unloading , handling , and storage of Owner - furnished products . 2 . Inspect for damage or shortages upon receipt . 3 . Protecting products from damage until final installation . 4 . Providing all labor , equipment , and incidentals required for complete installation . 5 . Coordinating installation in accordance with manufacturers ’ instructions and Contract Documents . 6 . Any defects or missing components shall be reported immediately to the Owner ' s Representative for resolution prior to installation . 7 . Repair or replace Owner - furnished products damaged following receipt . |
