This is a Request for Information ( RFI ) ONLY and should not be construed as a Request for Proposal ( RFP ) or a commitment by the U . S . Government . The U . S . Army Contracting Command - New Jersey on behalf of the Project Manager Soldier Weapons ( PM SW ), located at Picatinny Arsenal , NJ is issuing this RFI to survey the market for potential firms with the capabilities and interest in participating as a prime contractor to respond to a Request for Proposal to fulfill a proposal for Grenadier Sighting System ( GSS ) . Desired design and performance characteristics for GSS are provided in the document " GSS AR - PD - 176 12Oct2016 ", attached below . Firms / companies are invited to indicate their production capabilities by providing specifications , brochures , manuals , reports , demonstration videos , and other technical data as well as identification of current customers .
