The State of Colorado , Morgan Community College ( MCC ) is soliciting bids from qualified contractors for 2026 - 101 STEM Project Renovations and 2026 - 102 Mi CasaCareer Center . Background : MCC is soliciting bids for two separate projects , each funded in whole or in part with federal grant dollars . Although these projects are independently funded , they are being advertised , contracted , and managed concurrently due to their shared project schedule and coordinated completion requirements of being fully complete , expended , and closed - out by September 30th , 2026 , with STEM Project Renovations completed by July 31st , 2026 , for the start of the ‘ 26 Fall semester . Due to this consideration , MCC intends to award these two projects to the same contractor . However , bidders must provide bids for each project separately and contracts will be awarded on cumulative bid totals . 2026 - 101 / STEM Project Renovations : Three science labs renovation and classroom renovation to house MCC ’ s STEM Studio . The comprehensive scope includes the installation of high - performance laboratory fume hoods with integrated service fixtures , new wood laboratory casework ( including acid storage ), essential safety equipment like emergency eyewashes , and new finishes throughout . To support these upgrades , the project requires extensive infrastructure work , including specialized laboratory exhaust ductwork , precise HVAC system balancing ( TAB ), and the coordination of all new plumbing and electrical connections . 2026 - 102 / Mi Casa Career Center : Renovation of current MCC ‘ Welcome Center ,’ transforming the current space into Career Center and newly constructed Welcome Center , as well as updates to the adjacent Learning Commons . The comprehensive scope involves renovation of the existing administration wing and library to create a contemporary , new student services wing , including renovated Welcome Center with upgraded service desks , lobby , and work areas , new Career Center offices and lobby , and reorganized library space featuring new offices , an archives room , and an updated service desk . The scope encompasses complete interior refinishing — including new glass storefront systems , architectural wood paneling , ceilings , and flooring alongside a total overhaul of the facility ' s critical infrastructure , including high - efficiency HVAC systems , upgraded electrical and lighting controls , and modernized fire suppression and security systems .
