MENOMINEE COUNTY COURTHOUSE EXTERIOR RENOVATION PROJECT

1 . General The intent of this request is to obtain proposals from qualified & licensed contractors to renovate the exterior of the Menominee County Courthouse . The primary objectives of this project include restoring and preparing the substrate exterior surfaces of the building for painting or sealing , fixing or replacing exterior decorative trim , and painting or sealing the exterior surfaces . Proposals are to provide an all - inclusive price to complete this project , which includes but is not limited to , labor , materials , equipment rentals , disposal , permits , etc . 2 . Services Required 1 ) The contractor shall remove any and all deteriorated mortar from between the bricks or stones on the entire building , including all window sills and foundation cracks . The areas of joint failure to the substrates will all be repaired . New mortar is to match existing mortar as best as possible . 2 ) The contractor shall replace or fix any damaged , rotten , or missing exterior decorative trim on the entire building . New exterior decorative trim is to match existing exterior decorative trim . New exterior decorative trim is to be prepared as necessary for painting . 3 ) The contractor shall prepare the all the exterior surfaces of the building for painting or sealing as necessary , including but not limited to , scraping and removing existing finishes and caulking , repairing any cracks , cleaning all surfaces , and prime all exterior surfaces to be painted . 4 ) The contractor shall clean all brick and masonry exterior surfaces with a chemical cleaning agent to restore these exterior surfaces to their original appearance . The application for etching all substrates for cleaning and pressure rinsing the entire building form top to bottom . 5 ) The contractor shall apply a clear masonry sealer by flood coat airless spray application to the exterior substrate of the entire building . 6 ) The contractor shall meet with the Menominee County Buildings & Grounds Committee to present paint color options for the exterior substrates , including general building , upper scroll moldings , overhangs , freeze boards , steeple , and trim accents . Only Sherwin - Williams products are to be used on this project . MSDS sheets are required to be provided to the project manager .
