Mobile Sensory Unit Requirements The awarded vendor shall provide a fully equipped mobile sensory unit designed to deliver a calming , inclusive , and therapeutically supportive environment . Minimum requirements include : • ADA - accessible mobile structure ( trailer , bus , modular pod , or equivalent ) • Climate - controlled interior ( HVAC capable of summer operations ) • Acoustic dampening / sound - reduction design • Adjustable or low - stimulation lighting • Private , enclosed calming environment Sensory equipment shall include , at minimum : • Noise - canceling headphones • Weighted blankets or lap pads • Fidget and tactile tools • Sensory seating ( bean bags , rocking chairs , etc .) • Visual calming elements ( light panels , bubble tubes , etc .) The vendor shall ensure all equipment is clean , sanitized , and maintained daily . B . Staffing Requirements The vendor shall provide all staffing required to operate the unit . Staff minimum qualifications : • Training in neurodivergence awareness |
