Description | Am Institut für Quantentechnologie wird eine Magneto-Optische Falle (MOT) für Rubidiumatom aufgebaut. Es wird ein Grating-Chip verwendet, sodass nur eine einziger MOT Laser Strahl benö-tigt wird. Hierfür wird ein leistungsfähiges Laser System zum Kühlen und Abbilden (Imaging) der Atome benötigt. Das System muss die Laserquelle, das Locking, die Strahlkonditionierung (z.B. AOM, EOM, Verstärker, Polarisation, etc.) und die richtigen Schnittstellen für das bereits vorhandene Kontrollsystem beinhalten. Die exakten Laserfrequenzen müssen über RF-Signale feinjustierbar sein und mit Hilfe eines Shutters, angesteuert durch TTL-Signale, vollständig geblockt werden können. Die Rubidium-Übergange für das Locking müssen über die Laser Source frei wählbar sein. Das System soll in einem temperaturgeregelten Labor zum Einsatz kommen. Es kann in einem 19“ Rack oder auf einem optischen Tisch installiert werden und wird nur von qualifiziertem Fach-personal bedient.
