MOWING SERVICES , WATER OPERATIONS

1 . 0 GENERAL 1 . 1 The Successful Bidder shall mow the grass areas designated , trim along fences ( both sides ), around buildings , along walkways and curbs , and leave the site in a neat and presentable condition . 1 . 1 . 1 Aerial photographs are attached as EXHIBIT A for each site showing the approximate outline of the site or the area to be mowed . 1 . 1 . 2 Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit each site to determine the current conditions and requirements of each site . Bidders shall be held solely responsible for knowing the conditions and site requirements for each site bid . 1 . 2 Mowing : 1 . 2 . 1 The Successful Bidder shall mow the designated areas as directed by the County Contract Manager for Water Operations . To avoid damaging the grass , the Successful Bidder shall not mow to a height of less than one and a half ( 1 . 5 ) inches . Mowing operations shall be done in a manner such that none of the mowing debris is discharged into the open treatment basins , parked vehicles , etc . 1 . 2 . 2 The Successful Bidder shall maintain a five - foot ( 5 ') perimeter outside the fence line with a one - pass cutting for all site locations . 1 . 3 Litter and Debris : It shall be the Successful Bidders ' responsibility to maintain the areas in a neat and attractive condition . Litter and debris shall be collected and removed by the Successful Bidder prior to mowing . The Successful Bidder shall dispose of such collections in a manner acceptable to all County and State codes , by - laws , and ordinances . Upon completion of each mowing , the Successful Bidder shall sweep and remove any dirt and grass clippings from curbs , paved areas , sidewalks , or streets adjoining the mowed areas .
