NANCY ALLEN MULTI - WELL PLUGGING PROJECT I . PROJECT DESCRIPTION This project involves the plugging and / or remediation of abandoned oil and / or natural gas wells and sites at the location described below . 1 . 0 Project Area The project consists of 2 wells located in Harrison County along the Elk River ; see the image below . 1 . 1 Project Wells The wells identified below are included in the scope of this project ; photos and descriptive information are provided below . Preliminary surface property ownership information reported herein was obtained through publicly available resources , 1 but true ownership research ( i . e ., title opinion ) has NOT been completed . For the purposes of noticing landowners as part of the permitting process , it is the responsibility of the Contractor to ensure this information is correct . Note : The Agency may remove wells from the project list at its sole discretion prior to the commencement of permitted well work on location . Special Note : As an agent of the state , the Contractor shall be granted permission to access project wells and wellsites for the purposes of abandoned well plugging and reclamation ( including permitting ) under the authority of W . Va . Code § 22 - 10 - 7 ( a ).
