Purpose • Provide a complete , code - compliant replacement of one ( 1 ) existing vertical platform lift ( VPL ) as a single , turnkey procurement . High - Level Contractor Scope • Furnish and install new VPL equipment within the existing hoistway , including required doors / gates , controls , and safety devices . • Act as the General Contractor for all associated trade work required for a complete installation ( coordination of any other trades needed ) • Coordinate security , access , field verification , and work sequencing in an occupied correctional facility environment . • Provide submittals , schedule , meetings , testing / inspection coordination , and closeout documentation per the RFP package . Add Alternates – Critical Spare Parts • Add Alternate 1 – Critical operational spares . • Add Alternate 2 – Downtime reduction spares ( includes Add Alternate 1 items plus additional components ). • Add Alternate 3 – Major mechanical failure spares ( includes Add Alternates 1 and 2 items plus major components ). Testing , Acceptance , and Closeout • Complete required testing and inspections ; correct deficiencies prior to Owner acceptance . • Deliver O & M manuals , as - installed documentation , warranty information , and spare parts inventory confirmation ( if awarded ).
