Description | A . The intent of the RFP is to provide the following : DATA COMMUNICATIONS SWITCHES 1 . Network equipment to provide a 10Gbps backbone to all building MDF locations and from the MDFs to each IDF . 2 . Network equipment to provide POE power as specified in the Appendix A . 3 . Required network configuration on all equipment , including IP configuration , VLAN setup , etc . 4 . Required configuration of Extreme Cloud XIQ , Site Engine , and Site Analytics as specified by Owner after award . B . GENERAL 1 . Provide and install all equipment for a complete and operational network per Project Specifications . 2 . Appendix A contains the District Sites and requirements for port counts by building and closet . PART 3 - EXECUTION 3 . 1 GENERAL A . Install all equipment in existing racks and cabinets per manufacturers recommendations and industry best practices . B . Provide and install new switches and equipment per the bill of materials and specifications . C . Provide and install new patch cables for all required connections for the new equipment . D . All patch cables shall be routed using cable management . E . Equipment shall be labeled as directed by the Owner ’ s technology staff . F . Ensure that all equipment is grounded according to BICSI TDMM , " Grounding , Bonding , and Electrical Protection " Chapter . G . Provide complete installation services integrating the products into the Network Management system , Extreme Cloud XIQ with Site Engine and Site Analytics . |
