The Naval Air Systems Command ( NAVAIR ), Patuxent River , MD , intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee ( CPFF ) Level of Effort ( LOE ) contract modification with Northrop Grumman Corporation ( NGC ) [ San Diego , CA ] to conduct various Trade Studies under contract N00019 - 19 - C - 0008 Contract Line Item Number ( CLIN ) 0405 for potential design changes in support of the Triton MQ - 4C . Contract award is anticipated for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026 . The anticipated period of performance will be for approximately 36 months . This requirement will be procured on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U . S . C . 3204 ( a )( 1 ) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation ( FAR ) 6 . 103 - 1 , only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements . NGSC is the sole designer , developer , manufacturer , integrator , and producer of the MQ - 4C Triton air vehicles and ground stations . Therefore , NGSC is the only known responsible source possessing the engineering data , technical skills , and requisite knowledge of the design , fabrication , performance , and operational characteristics of the MQ - 4C UAS required to perform the necessary efforts . Unless otherwise stated herein , no formal request for proposal or additional written information is currently available . A determination by the Government not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government .
