Description | The City of Gallup , NM , is requesting proposals from qualified contractors to upgrade the existing Gallup Regional Water System SCADA ( Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition ) System as part the Navajo Gallup Water Supply Project . The upgrade shall enhance the efficiency , reliability , and monitoring capabilities of the City ' s water distribution system through the implementation of modern software , hardware , and communication equipment . The project includes upgrading the SCADA system at 46 existing locations within the water system . The SCADA system shall communicate over a new fiber optic VLAN backbone with cellular backup and the existing 900 MHz and 450 MHz radio systems shall be replaced . This project shall provide secure and reliable real - time data acquisition and supervisory control in the water system . |
