Description | The National Institute of Standards and Technology ( NIST ) Boulder Campus seeks a qualified design - build contractor to replace aging solar - powered exterior pole luminaires with new hard - wired pole luminaires at multiple locations on the NIST campus in Boulder , Colorado . The project will include demolition and removal of existing solar lighting systems , design and installation of new pole bases and LED luminaires , photometric analysis for lighting levels , structural pole base design stamped by a licensed Colorado Professional Engineer , and installation of new electrical circuits originating from nearby building panelboards . Construction activities include trenching and backfilling for electrical conduit , restoration of landscaped and hardscaped areas , labeling of new equipment in accordance with NIST standards , and coordination of electrical shutdowns . All work will comply with the National Electrical Code ( NEC ), NIST site standards , and applicable safety and security requirements . |
