The North Platte River Pedestrian Bridge Project consists of the construction of a new pedestrian bridge spanning the North Platte River in Casper , Wyoming . The project includes a signature steel arch bridge structure approximately 270 feet in length and 16 feet in width with a concrete deck , abutments and foundations on both the north and south sides of the river , and all associated site work including pathway connections , retaining walls , and site grading at both landings . Additional Description : The project also includes a bridge - hung 20 - inch water main approximately 210 feet in length , a bridge - hung 4 - inch sanitary sewer force main approximately 280 feet in length , a programmable LED lighting system , and pedestrian railing on both sides of the bridge . Work is divided into two phases , with Phase 1 covering substructure construction and procurement and storage of materials , and Phase 2 covering final installation , erection , and completion of all remaining work .
