Description | Nevada State University (“NSU”) is seeking a qualified architectural and engineering firm to provide professional services in the design of an armored channel/berm system, associated drainage facilities, and a mass grading plan. The improvements will provide 100-year storm event flood protection for the entire campus and prepare the site for future development. NSU has received a federal sub award from the City of Henderson to support the construction of a channel/berm to allow for future development of the NSU campus. The sub award will only fund a portion of the project. As such, in addition to berm/channel architecture/engineering, NSU is seeking a mass grading plan which includes identification of on-site mineral rights (e.g., soil, gravel, rock) suitable for commercial extraction during the grading process. Proceeds from the extraction will fund the construction of the channel/berm. |
