Description | Nevada State University (“ NSU ”) is seeking a qualified architectural and engineering firm to provide professional services in the design of an armored channel / berm system , associated drainage facilities , and a mass grading plan . The improvements will provide 100 - year storm event flood protection for the entire campus and prepare the site for future development . NSU has received a federal subaward from the City of Henderson to support the construction of a channel / berm to allow for future development of the NSU campus . The subaward will only fund a portion of the project . As such , in addition to berm / channel architecture / engineering , NSU is seeking a mass grading plan which includes identification of on - site mineral rights ( e . g ., soil , gravel , rock ) suitable for commercial extraction during the grading process . Proceeds from the extraction will fund the construction of the channel / berm . |
