The Nevada State Board of Nursing issues a certificate to qualified individuals to be a Certified Nursing Assistant . One of the requirements to qualify for a certificate as a Certified Nursing Assistant in Nevada is to graduate from an approved program and to pass an examination proving the applicant is qualified to be a Certified Nursing Assistant . There are 26 approved Nursing Assistant programs in Nevada . Everyone who graduates from one of those programs must pass the approved Statewide examination . This RFP is designed to secure a testing agency to provide the Nursing Assistant examination to all program graduates in Nevada ; The Vendor will be required to : 1 . Conduct the Written Examination at least monthly at each test site . 2 . Conduct the Manual Skills Examination at least monthly at each test site . 3 . Offer to conduct the Oral Examination monthly on an as requested basis . 4 . Conduct Written Examination and Manual Skills Examination concurrently on a schedule approved by the Board . 5 . Employ Nevada licensed Registered Nurses , who are Board certified CNA instructors , to conduct and evaluate the Manual Skills Examination . 6 . Employ or obtain persons in sufficient numbers to serve as actors for the Manual Skills Examination at each test site for each test administration . 7 . Score all examinations . 8 . Provide examination scores ( pass / fail ) to the Board within 5 business days after the completion of the examination ( s ). The reports should include at minimum : a . Applicant identification data . b . Examination date . c . Examination results . 9 . Provide for the appropriate equipment for the Written Examination . 10 . Provide for the appropriate equipment for the Oral Examination . 11 . Provide for the appropriate equipment for the Manual Skills Examination . 12 . Provide to the Board , within 15 business days after the examination ( s ) written reports to include : a . Manual Skills Examination b . Written Examination c . General Reports shall be provided to the Board on a monthly , quarterly , and yearly basis and shall provide : 13 . Use internet or other electronic based programs to assist in : 14 . CNA training programs shall not test their own students . 15 . Examination results shall be provided to the applicant with copies provided to the Board .
