1 SECTION 1 - GENERAL EQUIPMENT SPECIFICATIONS : 2 3 SPECIFICATION OUTLINE : 4 The following specifications for a 19 , 500 GVWR Regular Cab 2WD DRW Truck with Utility Body 5 and Sewer Jetter are divided into six ( 6 ) complete sections . The 1st section outlines the overall 6 specification requirement . The 2nd details the chassis portion of the vehicle . The 3rd section 7 details the utility body and other components that are to be mounted onto the vehicle chassis . The 4th section details the Sewer Jetter system and related components . The 5th 8 section refers to the additional electrical equipment to be added to the unit . The 6th 9 section details the 10 documentation , manuals and training to be required with the truck delivery . The truck shall be 11 delivered complete with all equipment and accessories necessary for safe and efficient operation 12 and ready for immediate job site operation with the City of San Francisco . The truck and all 13 equipment shall comply with the manufacturer ’ s current models with additions and deletions as 14 contained herein . 15 16 INTENDED USE : 17 The unit proposed by bidders shall be configured to meet or exceed the following intended usage 18 of said unit . This vehicle is intended to support municipal sewer maintenance and emergency 19 response operations . The unit shall consist of a 19 , 500 GVWR regular cab , 2WD , dual rear 20 wheel truck equipped with a utility body and sewer jetter system . It is to be used for cleaning , 21 flushing , and clearing sewer lines , catch basins , laterals , and related drainage infrastructure of 22 grease , sludge , roots , debris , and other obstructions . The utility body is intended to provide 23 secure and organized storage for tools , fittings , nozzles , hoses , safety equipment , traffic control 24 devices , and other materials required to perform field repairs and sewer maintenance activities . 25 The sewer jetter system is intended to deliver pressurized water for routine preventive 26 maintenance , blockage removal , and support of emergency sewer service calls in urban and 27 residential environments . This vehicle is to operate primarily on paved streets and within 28 municipal rights of way and shall be suitable for frequent stop and go service , access to confined 29 work areas , and daily use by public works or wastewater maintenance personnel . It is the 30 responsibility of the bidder to review and scrutinize all aspects of the configuration of this unit 31 including , but not limited to , engine size , transmission , axle weight rating , gear ratio , frame size , 32 and suspension types being specified in this document . If necessary , the bidder shall 33 recommend adjustments to the written specification so that the unit ’ s subsystems are adequate 34 enough for this chassis to operate on a daily basis , fully loaded with all components , fuel and 35 standard unmounted necessary tools needed for the unit ’ s daily tasks . This shall be 36 accomplished without increasing maintenance costs , stressing the frame , or adding any 37 unnecessary and / or abnormal wear to any other components of the unit , off or on - road 38 throughout the City of San Francisco .
