COPE OF WORK ● Assess students to identify occupational therapy deficits / needs ● Evaluates the students ’ ability and formulates the student ’ s occupational profile through a variety of functional , behaviorally , and standardized assessments , skilled observation , checklists , histories , and interviews ● Synthesizes evaluation results into a comprehensive written report which reflects strengths and barrier to student participation in the educational environment ; directs program development ; and guides evidence - based intervention ● Administers appropriate and required informal and formal assessments based on student needs and State Regulations ● Develops occupationally based interventions plans based on student needs and evaluation results ● Collects and interprets data and utilizes it to modify instruction , content , and to report progress to parents and the school district . ● Summarizes assessment results and provides information to other staff members and administrators for occupational development and / or periodic reviews ● Works with the IEP team ( for identified students ) or the school - based team to decide what type of occupational therapy is needed for the student to be successful ● Write evaluation reports and maintain case records for students
