Description | The Old Riverside Park Redevelopment Project in Sandy Springs , Georgia , is a comprehensive improvement initiative designed to transform the undeveloped park property into an accessible , environmentally sensitive , and community - focused destination . The project scope includes site preparation , grading , and erosion control to meet state and city environmental standards ; installation of new infrastructure including driveways , parking , trails , and drainage systems ; and construction of a prefabricated restroom facility with complete utility connections . The design also features a nature - based playground with log and wood play elements , picnic areas , and shade structures , all built to ADA and ASTM safety standards . Strict measures for tree protection , stormwater management , and native landscape restoration are integrated throughout the project to preserve the park ’ s ecological integrity . |
