Description | Seattle Public Utilities ( SPU ) is soliciting qualifications from consultant teams to provide on call support for SPU ’ s five - year Data Modernization Initiative . SPU seeks multidisciplinary teams with expertise in data platform assessment and selection , strategic planning , program and project management , business intelligence and analytics , data science , data governance , organizational change management , and technical implementation . SPU is undertaking a utilitywide transformation to modernize how data is managed , governed , and leveraged across its water , wastewater , drainage , and solid waste services . This initiative is essential to advancing the priorities outlined in SPU ’ s 2025 – 2030 Strategic Business Plan and the Shape Our Water Community Vision . SPU currently relies on multiple legacy systems — including Maximo , Oracle Financials , SCADA , and CCB — that operate in silos with limited integration . These fragmented systems constrain SPU ’ s ability to maintain data quality , generate enterprise insights , and support consistent , datadriven decisionmaking . The Data Modernization Initiative aims to address these challenges by establishing a cohesive , integrated , and futureready data environment . |
