Project Objectives A . The Santa Clara Valley Water District ( Valley Water ) implements a number of capital and operational projects and programs to meet its mission and goals in water supply , flood protection and watershed stewardship . The on - call services provided pursuant to this Agreement will augment the services of Valley Water staff and provide additional space planning and interior design services as needed . B . This agreement is intended to secure on - call professional space planning and interior design services to support Valley Water ' s workspace planning , reconfiguration , and renovations . The designated company will be expected to have a minimum of 5 years ’ experience to : 1 ) Provide Expertise in Interior Design & Design Software a . Utilize 2D and 3D design tools such as AutoCAD and CET for graphic modeling , CAD drafting , furniture parts ordering and inventorying , and assisting with office space reconfigurations , renovations , and related tasks . 2 ) Manage Space Planning Software : a . Maintain key maps and databases in Valley Water ’ s OfficeSpace platform , including architectural base plans , interior layouts , employee seat assignments , evacuation maps , emergency shutoff and equipment maps , environmental health and safety maps , and parking maps . b . Ensure documentation accuracy with up - to - date information . c . Additionally , maintain employee and asset location maps . d . Ensure smooth integration between AutoCAD and OfficeSpace , managing files , customizations , and processes associated with both platforms . 3 ) Expertise in Herman Miller ( MillerKnoll ) Furniture Products : a . Strong background in Herman Miller and Knoll furniture lines , products , and parts ( i . e . AO1 , A02 , Canvas , etc .) to provide furniture and design solutions that meet Valley Water ’ s aesthetic , functional , and operational needs . b . Maintain a Furniture Standard Document for Valley Water . c . Knowledge of OMNIA Partners agreement and terms with MillerKnoll . d . Effectively communicate with Herman Miller furniture dealers and installers on designs , quotes , and installation . e . Assist Valley Water Facilities Management Unit project manager ( s ) with furniture and installation labor quotes . f . Maintain an inventory database of excess furniture parts to maximize cost efficiency and reduce product waste . C . All Services required pursuant to this Agreement will be provided only on an as - needed / as - requested basis by the issuance of an authorized Task Order by the Valley Water to the Consultant . A project scope will be developed for each task order , including deliverables for a total not - to - exceed amount . No work will be performed without a task order . The Consultant will perform services on a Task Order Basis as authorized by the VWPM , as set forth in the Standard On - Call Consultant Agreement , Section Twelve , Miscellaneous Provisions , subsection 13 .
