1 . Boundary Surveys a . Perform research of deeds , plats , easements , rights - of - way , and other recorded instruments . b . Retrieve and analyze public land records and survey archives . c . Locate , recover , and evaluate existing monuments and evidence of occupation . d . Establish and monument property corners in accordance with New Mexico statutes . e . Identify conflicts , overlaps , encroachments , gaps , and boundary discrepancies . f . Prepare signed and sealed boundary survey plats suitable for recording . g . File corner records where required by law . 2 . Plats and Re - Plats a . Prepare subdivision plats , minor subdivisions , lot splits , lot line adjustments , and replats . b . Prepare right - of - way dedication , vacation , and easement plats . c . Ensure compliance with County subdivision regulations and development ordinances . d . Coordinate with County Planning and Engineering staff . e . Revise documents in response to review comments . f . Prepare recordable documents meeting County Clerk requirements . 3 . Topographic Surveys a . Establish horizontal and vertical control tied to the State Plane Coordinate System ( current datum ). b . Collect sufficient data to support engineering and architectural design . c . Locate visible improvements including structures , utilities , pavement , drainage features , fences , walls , and other site features . d . Collect spot elevations and produce contour mapping at intervals specified in the Task Order . e . Develop digital terrain models ( DTMs ). f . Provide deliverable in CAD and GIS - compatible formats as required by the County .
