Unit purchased shall be designed to permit accessibility for maintenance and repair purposes with minimal disturbance to applicable components or assemblies . 2 . Manuals : The dealer shall be required to supply the unit at the time of delivery with two ( 2 ) complete sets ( in English ), maintenance , repair , drivability , parts and add - on equipment manuals . It would be preferable to receive manuals in “ CD ” format where available . 3 . Equipment : In all cases where the manufacture has a selection of equipment considered either standard or heavy - duty , such as cooling systems , suspension , engine , transmissions and so forth , the unit being purchased shall be quoted and noted to be delivered with such heavy - duty items being included . 4 . Safety : Complete unit shall meet or exceed current Federal and “ DOT ” standards per manufacture , unless otherwise noted in bid proposal . 5 .
