Description | The installation of the latest version of Open Text ’ s AppEnhancer ( AE ) and OpenText Intelligent Data Operating Layer ( IDOL ), currently 25 . 4 , onto new VMware virtual servers running Windows Server 2025 and SQL Server 2025 . Development Stage : Task – Install Software The vendor is also required to migrate all the existing AE records and databases to the new servers , train end - users and administrators on new functionality , and ensure that all documents in the repositories are OCR / full text scanned ( if not already done ). RTA has limited technical resources ; the vendor is responsible for all technical aspects of this project , except for creating the virtual servers and obtaining the Microsoft licenses . Run license pre - generation process OpenText licensing Process Install the new license and verify it ’ s been applied to the environment Install AE 25 . 4 software on the replacement for Server 1 Install IDOL 25 . 4 indexing on the replacement for Server 2 Task – Configure Application Verify AE database restores from backup Update database for migrated storage |
