Description | The Municipality of Skagway is accepting bids for the Ore Peninsula Limited Slope Removal . The WORK covered in the Contract Documents generally includes : removal and disposal of sediment from the slope adjacent to the Cruise Ship Float to prevent future grounding of the float . All work must conform to the requirements provided in the bid documents . Work includes removal of sediment from the Limits of Removal , coordinating with the Engineer that will sample the sediment for characterization purposes , storing the sediment in watertight containers in the adjacent Ore Terminal , and disposal of the sediment at either a permitted Subtitle D landfill or at a beneficial use site in Skagway , as directed by the Owner , plus any ancillary work to complete and document the work ( e . g . environmental controls , surveying ). |
