The university partner will : 1 . Provide an accredited bachelor ’ s degree program leading to Georgia teacher certification in Elementary and / or Special Education . 2 . Align curriculum and assessments with DCSD ’ s instructional priorities and equity - centered frameworks . 3 . Deliver coursework through a flexible format that accommodates working paraprofessionals , including online asynchronous and synchronous sessions , with opportunities for in - person learning when feasible . The program should remain portfolio - and competency - based , emphasizing authentic , work - embedded experiences . 4 . Provide academic advising , progress monitoring , and documentation each term on apprentice enrollment , midterm and final grades , academic standing , and certification progress . 5 . Engage in bi - weekly partnership meetings with DCSD staff to review program progress , discuss candidate performance , and coordinate support structures . 6 . Offer clear , transparent , and competitive tuition and fee structures for both participants and the district . 7 . Collaborate with DCSD ’ s IGNITE leadership to co - design systems for candidate intervention and academic support for at - risk apprentices .
