Parking Access & Revenue Control System (PARCS) and Contract System Replacement

PTS operates a complex parking system on the Twin Cities campus that covers approximately 20,000 parking spaces in 130 different parking facilities, including a mix of surface lots and parking structures. 17,000 spaces across 36 of the facilities are access controlled with gates or garage doors through a PARCS system. The PARCS system has 175 lane entry/exit devices across these 36 parking facilities. The current PARCS system is from Hub Technology, and was implemented beginning in 2020.
