Description | The UK Healthcare Chandler Expansion ( Chandler ) will be comprised of new construction and renovation components . The existing multi - level parking garage on the project site will be demolished in its entirety to construct the Hospital in its place . The new building will be located west of the James Cancer Center and is considered an addition to the existing building . It will be connected to the James functionally on the interior - both above and below grade – and visually at the exterior . The 27 - floor Hospital will house 864 inpatient beds , Women & Infants services , surgical services , interventional radiology , expanded emergency services , imaging , support services , a conference center , and amenities including retail , a café with indoor and outdoor seating , and a sanctuary . The Tower is organized into three building zones : Podium , Tower and Knuckle . |
