Description | This work shall be bid and evaluated separately from the conventional paving contract . The Town intends to award the 2026 paving work to one contractor and the SAM / Fibremat work to a separate contractor . Prepare road for Stress Absorbing Membrane ( SAM ) surface treatment ( Fibremat Type A or approved equal ). Work may include localized crack filling touch - up as needed prior to asphalt shimming to restore rideability and proper cross slope prior to SAM installation . Bidder shall provide unit pricing as follows : • SAM / Fibremat Type A Application – Per Square Yard Includes all materials , binder , fibers , aggregate , equipment , surface preparation , traffic control , and full installation in accordance with manufacturer specifications . |
