Description | Livingston County is seeking proposals from qualified , independent actuarial firms to perform a pension actuarial audit of the County ’ s defined benefit pension plan ( s ) and to prepare an actuarial report of findings and results . The purpose of this project is for an independent actuary other than the Retirement Plan ’ s retained actuary to provide the County with an independent evaluation of actuarial assumptions , methods , calculations , and compliance with applicable accounting and reporting standards , including all relevant Governmental Accounting Standards Board ( GASB ) requirements applicable to Michigan county governments .
