Description | Please note : This is a Sole Source Notification . The Missouri State Highway Patrol ( MSHP ) requires the acquisition of MPU5 radios and related components for the 2026 FIFA World Cup . The MPU5 is an android - based smart radio utilizing the Wave Relay mobile ad hoc network ( MANET ) protocol to provide a secure , full communications platform that is currently the most scalable , adaptable and comprehensible . MPU5 radios serve as the networking platform for multiple access points at large venues , connecting them to a single command and control platform . Persistent Systems , LLC is the Original Equipment Manufacturer ( OEM ) and sole owner of the Wave Relay system that includes the MPU5 radios and all related ancillary components . As a result , this represents a proprietary requirement that meets the criteria as a single feasible source under RSMo 34 . 044 and the State is pursuing this acquisition as a Single Feasible Source . |
