The contractor must be able to perform the required pest services from verbal instructions or written descriptions . The contractor shall furnish all labor , supervision , miscellaneous materials / parts , equipment , tools , transportation , and insurance necessary to ensure the satisfactory performance of the contracted services , as determined by the Administration . Response time to calls for routine repairs shall be within forty - right ( 48 ) hours after call is placed . Failure to respond within the specified time frame can result in termination of the contract . No work shall be initiated under this agreement until a specific contract has been executed . No minimum number of hours shall be paid per on - site visit under this contract . MDOT SHA will pay only for work performed . Any work performed outside the Scope of Work described in this Invitation for Bids , including emergency work , will not be paid if not preapproved by the Contract Manager . No minimum show - up time shall be paid under this contract . Travel time to and from the job site is considered incidental to the other pay items and no additional compensation will be allowed . The contractor shall sign - in and sign - out at the administrative office of the facility when reporting for work and when leaving . The contractor shall be available for emergency service on a twenty - four hour , seven day per week basis for the full term of the contract . The contractor shall be available within two hours of notification on any day of the year without exception . The contractor shall furnish to the contract manager the name , address , and phone number of at least one ( 1 ) individual in his firm who can be contacted by the contract manager at any time in the event of an emergency .
