The Raleigh County Board of Education desires to continue a contract for the delivery post - offer pre - employment physical performance assessments for prospective employees and current employees changing job classifications . The long - term goal of this effort is to reduce employee exposure to injuries . To achieve this objective , the Board will conduct physical performance testing of new hires within the " post - offer pre - employment " period on additional specific job classifications . Additionally , if a current employee is changing job classifications into an identified classification and they have never held such position a physical performance test would also be conducted . If awarded , the contract will be in effect from July 1 , 2026 , through June 30 , 2027 , with an option to renew for two additional years if agreed in writing by both the Board and the contracted vendor . All prices shall be subject to verification . Proposals shall not exceed three years . Due to volume and timeliness , the Board may enter into contracts with more than one provider . Scope of Service Perform post - offer pre - employment physical performance assessments on a district - wide basis . I . Minimum Requirements District - wide service availability - testing and exam available within a 90 - minute drive - time from the Board ' s Central Office , 105 Adair Street , Beckley , WV 25801 . Assessments shall be conducted in a professional clinic or hospital environment . Appointments should be scheduled within five working days after assessment notification . Physical performance testing may be provided by same vendor at multiple locations , with capability for the simultaneous testing of multiple prospective employees at multiple locations . The program must provide reliable / accurate / objective measurement of prospective employee ' s strength / fitness / performance required for the essential functions of the position . Testing will be provided for the following classification titles : - Aide - Bus Operator - Cafeteria Manager / Cook Carpenter - Custodian - Electrician - General Maintenance - Handyman - Heavy Equipment Operator - HVAС - Mason - Mechanic - Painter - Plumber - Truck Driver - Warehouse Clerk - Welder
