The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare , Bureau of Laboratories ( Department ) is requesting quotes for Pipette Service and Calibration , as further detailed below . Specifications for Pipette Service and Calibration 1 . GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 1 . 1 The Contractor Must : Use certified technicians to perform all maintenance and repair services . Be accredited to perform calibration per ISO / IEC 17025 : 2005 or equivalent standard . 2 . CONTRACT SERVICES AND ACTIVITIES 2 . 1 The Contractor Must : Clean , repair , calibrate ( with label ), and certify the pipettes described in Attachment A – Pipette Inventory . The Contractor must provide a Certificate of Pipette Calibration for each pipette serviced . See Attachment B – Pipette Calibration Certificates for example . Calibrations must be ISO 17025 : 2005 ( or equivalent standard ) accredited . Adjust the pipettes to manufacturer or Department tolerances / settings using standards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology ( NIST ). The Department will request service as follows : Level 1 Service must include Preventive Maintenance and posting “ As Found / As Left ” data on the certificate of calibration . Level 2 Service must include Preventive Maintenance and posting “ As Left ” data on the certificate of calibration . Provide one ( 1 ) full , onsite service and repair visit per year on the pipettes including , but not limited to , the two hundred ten ( 210 ) pipettes listed in Attachment A – Pipette Inventory . The Department ’ s pipette inventory includes approximately one hundred ninety - seven ( 197 ) single channel and nineteen ( 19 ) multi - channel pipettes . The service must be performed during normal working hours ( 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM MT , Monday through Friday ), government holidays excepted . A list of government holidays can be found at : https :// www . idaho . gov / government / state - holidays / The Department and Contractor may mutually agree to ship the pipettes to the Contractor ’ s facility for services . If this option is chosen , the Department will arrange and pay for shipping . Provide all required testing material and certified equipment for all services . Thoroughly check and inspect the pipettes to determine if any additional services are required to ensure the instrument is performing according to manufacturer specifications . If repairs are recommended , the Contractor must obtain Department approval and provide a quote before any maintenance , repair , or additional charges are incurred to maintain optimal performance .
