Group 3 - Viega PureFlow PEX – Apollo does not have a comparable PEX fitting that meets our preference , so this category would be Viega only . Group 4 - Ball valves for steel pipe – We would like to stay with Apollo PowerPress here . Additional Clarifications - Steel press flanges can be Viega or Apollo . Because not all vendors carry both Viega and Apollo , any or all of these four groups could be awarded to different vendors . As noted above , we only want PEX fittings from Viega , and for steel pipe press ball valves we only want Apollo PowerPress . Copper press fittings can be either Viega or Apollo . Steel press fittings ( excluding ball valves ) can also be either Viega or Apollo . |
