• Evaluate select watersheds ( to be provided during the course of the RFP as an amendment ) emphasized as priorities by the Agency programs ; • Interview local participants in each program as to benefits and drawbacks to participation ; • Inventory implemented practices in selected watersheds ; • Summarize changes in water quality in these watersheds ; Deliverables • Assess the reduction effectiveness , long - term sustainability and cost requirements for BMP strategies to reduce sediment and nutrients through installed structural practices versus behavioral and operational changes across varied geographic settings ; • Provide an estimate of which types of BMPs and level of adoption is necessary to affect water quality at varied watershed scales . • Characterize the impacts on actual use of water from not achieving water quality goals over varied durations of time ; and , • Recommend actionable strategies to enhance BMP implementation and outcomes . • Report deadline is December 31 , 2026 . • Report to be delivered to the directors of Kansas Department of Agriculture – Division of Conservation , the Kansas Department of Health and Environment – Watershed Management Section , and the Kansas Water Office . • Invoices to be submitted to KDHE Accounts Payable at inception and at completion of the project .
