Description | Purchase of 17 , 800 lbs . of free - flowing technical grade Potassium Permanganate containerized in 55 +/- pound , plastic , waterproof , sealed containers designed for outside storage . Material shall be in PAILS ONLY . No “ kegs ”. ( See sample photo attached ). Provide 10 plastic pail lid removal wrenches . Material specification Material shall be Potassium Permanganate free - flowing technical grade consistent with the AWWA Technical Grade specifications . The supplier must provide documentation that the material to be supplied meets the AWWA Technical Grade specifications and the Town will confirm quality by random sampling . Testing Material - Random samples of every lot and truckload will be tested to confirm compliance with AWWA specifications . The truckload will be rejected if two out of three tests fail . Containers – Random containers from each truckload shall be submerged in water tested for four hours to confirm that the containers are waterproof containers . Technical services and resources The supplier must provide at no cost , technical services related to odor control , and proper use and handling of Potassium permanganate . The service must be available within 48 hours after being requested . The supplier at the time of bidding must supply documentation that this requirement can be met . |
