Pre - Employment Transition Services ( Pre - ETS ) for Eligible High School Students

SPECIFICATIONS OF WORK TO BE PERFORMED Required Contract Services and Outcomes Any organization bidding on this RFP must be able to provide the following required services for DVR applicants and eligible individuals . If any one of these services cannot be provided , the bid will not be considered : The selected Contractor must provide the required services for students in all twelve Agency of Human Services Districts in Vermont . Contractor will provide one or more of the following services to a minimum of 1 , 000 students each contract year . Service One : Job Exploration Contractor will provide job exploration opportunities , individually or in group settings for eligible students . Contractor must provide documentation of the provision of the services for the DVR case file . Job Exploration is defined as any of the below : a ) Completion of paper , online or on - site career assessments ; b ) Exploration of workforce trends , career pathways and career options ; and c ) Attendance at career or workforce presentations . Service Two : Training in Workplace Readiness Contractor will provide training in workplace readiness , individually or in group settings for eligible students . Contractor must provide documentation of the provision of the services for the DVR case file . Workplace Readiness Training is defined as any of the below : a ) Training in verbal and non - verbal communication in the workplace ; b ) Training in showing a positive attitude in the workplace ; c ) Training in problem solving in the workplace ; d ) Training in active listening in the workplace ; e ) Skills development on decision making ; f ) Skills development on conflict resolution ; and g ) Skills development in professionalism and respect toward others . Service Three : Work - Based Learning Experiences Contractor will provide work - based learning experiences in real integrated employment settings . Contractor must provide documentation of the provision of the services for the DVR case file . A work - based learning experience is defined as any of the below : a ) Informational interviews ; b ) Job shadows ; c ) Service Learning in collaboration with school that student attends ; d ) Workplace simulations ; e ) Apprenticeships ; f ) Career Mentorships ; g ) An unpaid training placement or work experience in a competitive setting ( a student can receive a training offset provided through DVR ); h ) An unpaid internship with an employer ( a student can receive a training offset provided through DVR ); and i ) A subsidized paid work experience including a summer youth experience funded through DVR , the Department of Labor or other entities .
