The objectives of this contact are as follows:— provide input to the preparation of the 6th national communication under the Convention (3rd under the Kyoto Protocol) on behalf of the European Union, including a draft 6th national communication, in the form of zero/first/second/and third order drafts,— provide input to the preparation of the 1st biennial report on behalf of the European Union, including a draft contribution in this regard that follows the zero/first/second/and third order draft process foreseen for the 6th national communication,— provide background materials in regard to methods of information and data collection for the needs of the preparation of the 6th national communication and the 1st biennial report,— provide supporting documents that could be used during the review process of the 6th national communication and 1st biennial report,— provide input to the EU position in international discussions on the review of reporting guidelines for national communications by Annex I parties, guidelines for reporting on finance and guidelines for the review of national communications.
