Description | General – It is the intent of the City of Watertown , New York to solicit bids for cationic dry polymer to be used at the City ’ s Pollution Control Facility ( PCF ) for chemical conditioning of sludge for filter press dewatering . Current Usage - Approximately 50 , 000 pounds per year of high molecular weight , medium to high charge density cationic polyacrylamide is used . Polymer is ordered in approximately 4 , 000 - pound lots ( 80 bags of 50 to 55 pounds per bag , however routinely marketed by vender ). The City reserves the right to order more or less of the material as needed . |
