Receive assignments directly from the Director and / or the County Administrator ; provide strategic advice , direction , and recommendations ; and prepare , pursue , monitor , track , and / or lobby for or against legislative measures . b . Attend scheduled hearings , meetings , and other gatherings where policy or legislation that may affect the County is proposed , developed , or discussed , and report to the Board of Supervisors — through the County Administrator and Director — on the status of such legislation or issues on at least a weekly basis during the legislative session or as otherwise requested . c . Report to , seek guidance from , and make recommendations to the County Administrator , the Director , or the Director ’ s designee as to the positions that are to be advanced on behalf of the County on specific issues , legislative bills , and proposed amendments thereto , and on all other related matters , on at least a weekly basis during the legislative session . |
