Project Overview The Town of Wolcott is currently working with Colliers Project Leaders who are providing pre - referendum assistance associated with the Wolcott Public School system for potential facility modifications and consolidation . The school district population is declining , and the Town is looking at options to consolidate their current grade configurations . The first phase of this consolidation will explore reconfiguring the existing 9 - 12 high school to accommodate 7th and 8th grade creating a 7 - 12 facility . The high school was constructed in 1958 and encompasses 179 , 306 s . f . The projected enrollment in 2033 - 2034 is 366 students in grades 7 and 8 and 655 students in grades 9 through 12 . The Town is seeking to engage an Architectural Engineering ( Consultant ) team to evaluate the existing high school and develop facility information and concept plans required to explore the proposed consolidation at the high school campus . The Consultant will work directly with the Town and Colliers Project Leaders and provide support of the proposed project at public meetings . • The Consultant team ’ s scope will include a review and certification of the existing High School for renovation status . • The Consultant team will develop Educational Specifications for a 7 through 12 grade school suitable for inclusion in a future grant application . • The Consultant will develop concept drawings based on the approved educational specification to incorporate the educational program into the existing high school building which may include small additions or focused demolition and renovations . • The Consultant will provide marketing materials and support at public meetings to promote the project . Project Scope The project scope consists of a renovation analysis and certification for renovation status of the existing high school and the development of a 7 - 12 grade Educational Specification . In addition , the Consulting team shall develop Educational Specifications for a 7 - 12 grade configuration along with concept planning on how the approved Educational Specification could be integrated into the existing High School building . The Consulting team shall also provide marketing support and meeting attendance to promote the project . The Consultant team will attend monthly building committee meetings to keep the Town updated on the progress .
