Description

The City of Barre seeks a developer ( s ) to partner with on the Prospect Heights Development project ( the “ Project ”), the largest housing development in the City in decades located on an undeveloped 34 - acre parcel off from Prospect Street . The parcel is currently under contract for purchase by the City of Barre from Fecteau Residential , Inc . and the City has secured funding to construct roads , water , sewer , stormwater and other needed infrastructure to serve the parcel . The City has secured approximately $ 9 million for infrastructure through several different sources including : $ 2 . 875 million from Northern Border Regional Commission ( NBRC ), $ 750 , 000 from the State of Vermont , and $ 5 . 434 million from the Agency of Commerce and Community Development ( ACCD ) through the Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery ( CDBG - DR ) program .
