Europol requires different types of interpretation services for regular and ad hoc meetings taking place between representatives of the EU Member States and Europol throughout the year. This tender will result in a contract providing Europol with the needed interpretation and related administrative services. The interpretation services to be provided, further explained in the tendering documents, require familiarity with legal terminology especially relating to criminal matters in 23 EU official languages (all official EU languages excluding Irish) and in candidate states' languages. Interpretation services must be available as consecutive, simultaneous and whispering interpretation for all languages referenced above. Europol may also request interpretation in non-EU languages. These additional languages may be offered by the tenderer as additional services.The administrative part, further explained in the tender documentation, concerns the support to be rendered by the successful tenderer in order to make sure the services are available and carried out properly from the outset until invoicing and payment. In particular this includes submitting invoices, applying the correct prices and including the required (original) supporting documents. Meetings are for the very most part held at the Europol headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands. Only when requested by Europol may services be rendered in a different location in one of the EU Member States. The security of the information under discussion is highly important. Therefore, security provisions shall be strictly enforced and non-compliance with such provisions shall be considered breach of the contract.In addition to Europol's usage of the resultant contract, the successful tenderer will apply the same pricing structure and conditions for the benefit of third parties who wish to place orders directly with the successful tenderer. The duration of the contract will be 2 years with 2 possible extensions of 1 year each (4 years maximum total duration).
