Description | Supported living services are a vital part of Sefton's Adult Social Care offer, enabling individuals with care and support to live independently in their own homes. Supported living arrangements aim to increase individuals' independence and skills by reducing dependency over time. This should, in turn, enhance the adult's persons autonomy and reduce the level of paid and unpaid support required. These arrangements create opportunities for individuals to explore new experiences, enable care and support to be delivered within their own homes, and may facilitate transitions to more independent forms of accommodation. The provision of services therefore includes options for both short-term and long-term support, promoting progression and the development of life skills, including recovery-focused models for those with mental health support needs. |
